THE IMPACT OF FUNDRAISING
RAISE MONEY. GET REWARDED!
PINK HONOR ROLL = Top Individual Fundraisers
Congratulations to our 2017 PINK HONOR ROLL members! These top fundraisers (pictured above) from our 2016 Komen Twin Cities Race for the Cure® were honored at our 7th annual Pink Honor Roll appreciation event. As generous sponsors of this event, Pinstripes provided a beautiful venue and delicious food for our celebration.
Each year, thousands of people participate in the Komen Twin Cities Race for the Cure® to raise money to fund research, education, screening and treatment. The Pink Honor Roll was created to encourage and recognize the efforts of our top fundraisers each year. The Pink Honor Roll members include the top individuals who each raise $1,000 or more in pledge donations.
Each year, the Pink Honor Roll members are a wonderfully diverse group, from all walks of life, of all ages, races, socio-economic backgrounds, and different professions. Although widely diverse, they feel a special camaraderie and fellowship in belonging to this inspirational group – the common thread that binds them is their passion to end breast cancer forever. They have attested to emotional healing from being involved in the program, taking ‘the negative’ of going through treatment or losing a loved one to the disease and turning it into ‘a positive’ to raise as much money as possible to fight breast cancer.
Komen Minnesota makes a significant effort to recognize the members of this prestigious group throughout the following year leading up to the next Race in May. The Pink Honor Roll members key recognition event is a dinner held in their honor in the early spring. This acclaimed Pink Honor Roll party has evolved over the past six years to where it is the highlight of the Race season and a reunion of these diverse individuals. This exclusive recognition event gives Komen Minnesota an opportunity to meet, thank and acknowledge these outstanding fundraisers. A keynote speaker (e.g. community health grantee) is invited to present to these top fundraisers, giving them a direct connection with how the critical funds they are helping raise are being used in the community to save lives and end breast cancer forever. For Race Day, each member receives a custom Pink Honor Roll Hat.
Our fundraising incentives have never been more exciting! Raise money as part of our Friends for the Cure® program and you’ll be amazed at the reward you can win! Simply ask 10 friends to donate $10 to your Race for the Cure fundraising goal using your personal fundraising page's link (you receive this automatically when you register) and you will be eligible for a reward! Please note that donations made directly to a team will not be credited to an individual's personal fundraising page. All donations received by June 18, 2017 will be counted towards your reward redemption.
Click Here to see the incentive rewards at each dollar level and start fundraising now! See information below about our added incentive for those that raise $1,000 or more.
Friends for the Cure fundraising may be done exclusively online or combined with offline donation forms! Please Click Here to register, and your personal fundraising page will automatically be created for you! You may then customize your page, e-mail friends and family, collect donations online and track your success! Those supporting your fundraising can go to your individual fundraising page to make donations in support of your efforts. You may collect donations offline and mail them in too. Help us on our mission to end breast cancer so that not one more of our grandmothers, mothers, sisters, brothers, wives, daughters, sons or best friends ever has to die from this disease. As a Friends for the Cure® participant, you will see how one person really can make a difference!
**Note: All donations must be received by June 17, 2018 in order to be included in fundraising totals for prize redemption.
