Imagine Life Without Breast Cancer
-Where your grandmother, mother, daughter, sister, or friend doesn't have to worry if she will be the one-in-eight women diagnosed with the disease. Donate Today! Why Support Komen Minnesota
Breast cancer remains the most common form of cancer among women living in the United States. It is only through the generous support of our donors that we are able to make great strides in the fight against breast cancer. Your generosity will help us save lives today — through early detection, treatment and support — while making a significant difference tomorrow — through innovative research. While we have made tremendous progress in the fight, people are still dying from breast cancer-- and that's unacceptable. At Susan G. Komen, we are working every minute of every day to save every life, and we need your help. It is a race against time, with the lives of our mothers, sisters, daughters and friends hanging in the balance. In the U.S. in 2019 more than 42,000 individuals will die from breast cancer. Imagine being able to stop the breast cancer disease and its tragic consequences. At Susan G. Komen, we make every penny count. In fact, 85 cents of every dollar spent goes toward our treating and curing breast cancer.
It may be your donation that pushes us past a major turning point in discovering and delivering the cures. On behalf of the women and men who will be diagnosed this year, next year and in the decade ahead, we urge you to do as much as you can as soon as you can. You can rest assured we'll put your contribution to good use.
In 2019, Susan G. Komen Minnesota funded over $500,000.00 in breast health and breast cancer services across Minnesota and $200,000.00 in groundbreaking breast cancer research. However, additional requests for other worthy breast cancer programs totaling over $200,000.00 were not funded simply because we lacked the funding capacity. Fundraising dollars are critical to individuals who have received life-changing assistance from grantees in our network that rely on Komen funds.
